Let me start by saying that I am not a crafty person. I mean it. I can't scrapbook. I can't knit. I can't do anything that you might find in the crafts section at Michael's. It simply doesn't run in my blood. But when I stumbled across this tutorial on how to make pom pom flowers, I knew that I had to try it. I simply love the look and feeling of these poms and wanted them in my house immediately {especially since I also have no green thumb, therefore ruling out any living greenery}. Perfect!

You can imagine my husband's intrigue when I sat down with my yarn, scissors, and glue gun {which I somehow managed to have on hand??}. But we were both in for quite the surprise when my poms cam out looking perfect {except the first one that I did which of course doesn't count} and the hubs was even nice enough to spare me his pointer finger on occasion to make sure my knots were tight- what a guy! But seriously, he was really proud of me {haha}. And I must say that I was too! Here are my proud poms::

{sorry for the shadows- it was dark.}

I am definitely planning on making a few more of these babies to spruce up my cubicle at work too!

{thanks to apartment therapy for hooking me up with the link.}
