since we're still waiting for this baby to release...
i have been watching paris je t'aime over+over.
you must see it before attempting to see new york, i love you.
here is a sneak peek at one of the sweet films...

i know you loved it, right?
check out the full trailer here.
i think i'm just finally going to have to order
myself a copy to keep.
because my netflix queue just isn't going anywhere
since i've had it paris je t'aime at home for 3 weeks.
+ i keep watching it.

"sitting there, alone in a foreign country,
far from my job and everyone I know, a feeling came over me.
it was like remembering something I'd never known before
or had always been waiting for, but I didn't know what.
maybe it was something I'd forgotten or something I've been missing all my life.
all I can say is that I felt, at the same time, joy and sadness.
but not too much sadness, because I felt alive.
yes, alive.
that was the moment I fell in love with Paris.
and I felt Paris fall in love with me."

seriously is that what that was?
i can't believe how much we managed to cram in.
even with the extra day.
at least we really enjoyed ourselves.

the days are mixing together.
we spent so much time outside.
during the day we ate otter pops.
+ at night we drank coronas.
lots of coronas.

spent all of our days with andrew+stacey.
aaron+kathy when they got home.
+ even aunts+cousins from out of town.

went to our favorite farmers market.

+ along with my usual purchases of fresh baked bread + honey
i snagged up this beautiful ring.

which is freakishly similar to this one i blogged about last week.
it's so perfect.

+ also this absolutely delicious peach pie.

my favorite bread comes out of the boston globe truck from the film field of dreams.
it makes an appearance at our farmers market every week.
pretty cool, eh?

we played with my vintage cameras in the backyard.

had bonfires with pretty colors.

drunken singstar nights.
discovered grapevines growing in our backyard.

found G sleeping on a pile of coats {funny story}.

got some very exciting news on saturday.
that my photo was being featured in etsy's treasury west special feature.
that made for a good day.
{huge thanks to misandmatch for choosing my little old photo!}
went to see sunshine cleaning with a+s.
+ drank wine in the theatre.
it was so good.
both the movie + the wine.
made the most delicious caprese salad with mom.

dad+husband wondered where the bread was, but ate it anyway.
+ followed it up with some taquitos.
oh boys.

stained the deck with husband.
{or at least started to}.

coinciding with some serious tom petty jam out sessions.
our neighbors love us.
lots of drinking.
in fact, way too much drinking.
the past 11 days.
i am currently in detox mode.
until jen + andrew's big day anyway.
4 more days!!
picked pretty iris' from the front yard.

and sweet, sweet lily of the valley from the backyard.
admired our peonies that are almost here.

ran all over town again + again with my circus of a family.
ran around town with jen for some wedding details.
+ laughed at how buster sits on her lap.
+ at how much he loves posing for me.

traveled to mom's hometown + visited family.
celebrated memorial day.
+ visited those whom we miss dearly.

by monday night we were completely wiped.
snuggled up on the couch + watched
the curious case of benjamin button.
it was brilliant. i enjoyed it so much.
i am especially fond of the tugboat, chelsea.

what an awesome name for a tugboat, no?
or an awesome name for a kick-ass 24-year-old you might know?
{it gave me shivers hearing Brad Pitt say my name. sexy}.

 it officially feels like summer.
+ it couldn't be better.

if you know me, you know that i'm not a country music lover.
not since the good 'ol Garth Brooks days anyway.
{who kissed me on the cheek by the way. yep, for real}.
but would you believe it if i told you that i am currently crushing on a country song?
i know, right?
i heard it last weekend for the first time at bri's party
{although kathy insists i have heard it with her before,
while drunk, + now have no recollection of it-
which at least shows that i'm nothing if not original, right?}
anyway.. it's called johnny+june.
+ it's about, of course, johnny+june carter.
maybe that's why i just love it so much.
i love johnny cash.
some might say a little too much.
here it is, in all its glory-
the song that made me crossover + even actually blog about it.

love it, right??
i can't stop listening to it.
but please don't be expecting this kind of post from me again anytime soon

i have decided to open an etsy shop of my own!

+ i owe it all to you.
so thank you.
from the bottom of my heart.

.here is a sneak peek of what you can find in the shop.
.i really hope that you like what you see.

i also want to mention that if you are interested in purchasing a photo
that i do not have showcased in my etsy shop
please let me know because i would love to add it.
you all know that i have quite the collection going on here

you think are etsy-worthy.

thank you all again.

+ perhaps my favorite part of One Tree Hill's finale
was the ending voice over that they left us with...

"take a look at yourself in the mirror,
who do you see looking back?
is it the person you want to be?
or is there someone else you were meant to be -
the person you should have been but fell short of?
is someone telling you you cant?
or you wont?
because you can.
believe that love is our there.
believe that dreams come true every day, because they do.
sometimes happiness doesn't come from money, fame or power.
sometimes happiness comes from good friends and family
and from the quiet nobility of leading a good life.
believe that dreams come true every day, because they do.
so take a look in that mirror and remind yourself
to be happy because you deserve to be.
believe that and believe that dreams come true every day,
because they do.

is there really any more to say?

so there aren't many screencaps out there yet from OTH's season finale.
but i still have to get my update/thoughts.
i believe in the duration of the hour i...
cried. screamed. smiled. laughed. bawled. sighed.
is that it? there's probably more.
talk about a happy ending for the season??
something that OTH is not known for.
but i wouldn't have it any other way.

.it started out scary.
.but it was done so, so well.

.it was just so perfect.
.the music. the group watching all together.
.and julian being there for brooke was amazing.

.so happy when she came to.
.and naming her Sawyer- that really got me.
.but they just couldn't leave it at that.
.they had to throw in a little karen action too!!

.oh happy days.

.so perfect.

.as if that wasn't great enough.
.nathan makes it to the fricking nba.

.some naley action.
{+ don't even get me started on last weeks slutty wedding sex}.

.seeing whitey was amazing.
.i was so happy when they showed his loving face.
.not to mention the cowboy hat.
.but seeing whitey with dan in that scene.
.it was pure brilliance.
.and then when nathan showed up.
.oh my gosh, it was beyond amazing.

.mouth + milli = cuteness.
.i think he'll be proposing soon.

.brooke's mom finally being brooke's mom.
.i adored that scene + it was a long time coming.
.i was so, so happy for her.
.she has had a rough season.
.+ when she went to julian in la.
.i was swooning.

.honestly there was so much goodness wrapped up into this finale
that i can't even contain it all.
.the best finale ever, + for sure one of the best episodes ever.
.it read a lot like a series finale, but rest assured, they are confirmed for next season
minus leyton.
.i have heard some talks that people don't like the way leyton went out at the end.
.i however thought it was perfect.
.they got their happy ending.
.and no one deserves it more than them.

i loved loved loved loved loved loved loved loved loved {x100 more} it!!
not to mention that the ending montage was to one of my favorite songs on the planet!
i was overjoyed.

+ i will leave you with a little bit of this...

...+ a little bit of that.

.i can't wait for next season.

"somebody told me that this is the place
where everything's better + everything's safe"

+ we're back with another amazing + event-filled weekend to report.

we had friends in town visiting .brett+kerri.
we had a relaxing evening at a+k's casa + got caught up.
drank some beers + watched tom petty music videos.

in the morning i attended the one + only bri bri's wedding shower at the park.
my girls jackie + katie even came to town to join in the festivities.
we got caught up. ate good food. + watched bri open some amazing presents.
+ i also got to catch up a little with the lovely kayla.
i had several errands to run following the shower.
so that i could get home + be ready in time for bri's bachelorette party!
met the girls for dinner + a crazy {to say the least} night ensued.
that's what bachelorette parties are all about right?
but really, get all us girls together at any time + things are anything but dull.
i love you girls. you rock my world.

husband answered my drunken call around 12:30
to come + pick me up as the party was winding down.
he was at our favorite local bar with the crew
+ i was soon joining in on their fun too.
we closed down the place as always.
playing pool + drinking even more beers + dancing to the jukebox.

when we got home we decided to order some pizza.
i believe it was my drunken suggestion + he went along with it.
{thanks babe}.
would have been fine + dandy
except papa john's is way too quick at 3 in the morning
+ the pizza guy saw me in my undies.
but the pizza was still good + i figured that counted as his tip, right?
just kidding.

i slept in until 11 am.
this is no small feat for me.
as i never sleep in.
but i was glad that i did because i felt wonderful when i awoke.
we loaded up the g-man + headed out to my in-laws place
for some much needed country air + r+r.

we spent the day hiking around the beautiful area.
exploring old abandoned houses.

petting pretty horses.

catching up with the family.
+ grilling out some amazing food.
our niece even made us some smores for dessert.

+ believe it or not i was once again indulging myself with an ice cold beer
after my father-in-law insisted.
it actually tasted good + i had a couple more.
how did that happen?
beer really does hold a soft spot in my heart.

headed home to catch the desperate housewives finale.
+ that my friends is our weekend!
busy, yes. hell of a lot of fun, most definitely.

lots more pictures here.
