Jane Austen Book Club

If you haven't seen this movie, it is a definite must. I adored it- so much in fact that my friend Stacey and I want to start our own book club. :) It follows the lives of various characters at certain times in their lives when they really relate to what Austen is portraying in her novels. Their book club and their friendships help them each to overcome their troubles and move on in their lives. I really want to buy the dvd soon!

So, our book club is not necessarily going to be just Jane Austen, but we are going to start with her novel, Persuasion. :)

We haven't set an exact date that we are starting it- but soon! I will be posting reviews of all of the books that we read here for you to see as well!

Besides seeing this great movie over the weekend, that's about all I did. I was SICK the entire weekend. In fact, I still am. :( Luckily the hubby had both Saturday and Sunday off so we basically lounged around the house the entire weekend- snuggling with Guinness & watching movies. And since we got pounded with freezing rain & snow yesterday, it was actually very nice to be all couped up inside. I do feel a bit better today as I got up and ready for work, so I'm hoping that I'm on the downside of this nasty thing. But in the meantime, it would be great if Brian brought me kleenex, dayquil, and donuts to work every morning! :) Such a sweetie.
