summer tv.

There is something so idyllic about summer tv shows. Not quite sure how to describe it, but it's almost as if the pressure is off and the plots go a little crazy. I am a fan of summer tv. I usually don't watch most of the shows when they air, because summer plans are usually in the way, but handy-dandy tivo captures all the little tidbits that I don't want to miss. Here's a few of my fav's for summer...

Weeds. My friend Stacey got me hooked on this show and now I love it. Check out the site to learn more about it, but it's basically about a widowed, mother who deals marijuana for money for her family. Might not sound so appealing, but trust me-- it's well worth a watch. Very cleverly put together, I love Nancy! Although every episode has me on the edge of my seat because I can't even imagine doing what she does. This current season is crazy because they've left and moved to a whole new town-- not sure if I'm digging it yet, but I'm sure they won't let me down.

The Secret Life of the American Teenager premieres tonight, and I don't have plans so I might actually watch it tonight! I think that it looks really good. I am a sucker for abc family shows anyway. But it just feels so raw and relevant from the previews. And I adore Molly Ringwald {seriously, who doesn't?}

And of course, the one and only Nip/Tuck. Last season's finale was crazy and I absolutely cannot wait for the new one to start!! Yippie! This show is insane and I am a die hard fan. And the docs are too hard to look at either. :-P For some reason though, they aren't starting up again until September!!! I am really bummed because it has been my go-to summer show. It will always be a summer show to me... I can't blame them for wanting to pick it up primetime.

I just started watching Tori and Dean; Home Sweet Hollywood this year too. Actually, I have only seen the first episode this season, but it was too cute. I will definitely tune into this show as well!! And of course I've already told you about my fascination with Denise Richards: It's Complicated. She is such a bitch, and I love it. HaHa. I don't always agree with things she does and says, but she stands true to her word and I respect that. She leads a very interesting life.

So there you have it, I don't spend much time watching the tele in the summer, but when I do it is surely worthwhile.
