1. Friday night we went to see comedian Jon Reep {the hemi guy and winner of Last Comic Standing} with Andrew and Stacey. He was very funny and it was a great time. I really enjoyed his bit about subconsciously making your spouse think that really they want to take the garbage out {and I enjoy using this on Brian} HaHa.
And just for kicks, here is a pic of Stacey and I enjoying our daquri's at my favorite Mexican place before the show {and you can kind of see my new, darker hair color, but sorry I am already drunk at this point.}
2. We had Dan In Real Life from Netflix and watched it on Saturday- I was pleasantly surprised. It’s not really a comedy {even though it stars Steve Carrell and Dane Cook} it is a more serious movie. Don’t get me wrong, it has it’s funny parts, but it just wasn’t what I expected. Worth checking out though!
3. We finally got around to hanging a bunch of frames, etc. up around the house and putting the final touches that we could on the bedroom {we are still waiting on a rug, a bench, and an armoire}. Lots of frames in the bedroom, including the random collage above our bed. I just love the way everything turned out.
Close up shot:
{From left: Card received at our wedding; wedding photo, Alicia Bock print, another Alicia Bock print, picture of Guinness.} LOVE IT. =)
Here is another big wedding picture that we framed in there {and believe me there are several more, HaHa.}
And here are the curtains!! These were hung last weekend, but I never got around to taking a picture. You can't really tell in the pic because they look really shiny, but IRL they are absolutely stunning-- exactly what I wanted.
Also, here is a closeup of the details on Brian's nightstand:
Here are some details of the items on the dresser {no shots of the acutal dresser yet though}
We also hung this Happily Ever After plaque that I received as a shower gift from my bestie that I miss dearly, Lindsey. It looks so great in our hallway:
4. Saturday night we watched Becoming Jane that we also had at home from Netflix. I absolutely LOVED this movie. Ever since seeing The Jane Austen Book Club I have been very interested in her life and novels. This movie was so touching and heartfelt- I was pretty much bawling like a baby throughout the entire thing though! I just can’t wait to read all of her novels now!
5. AND on Sunday we ripped up the carpet in our office/guest room to reveal the absolutely beautiful hardwood floors that grace the rest of our house—absolutely gorgeous. I don’t understand why anyone in their right mind would ever cover this beautiful stuff up, but it is very nice for us to not have to do a darn thing but rip up some old carpet and VIOLA- brand spakin’ new hardwood flooring! Gotta love that.
6. We also rented No Reservations from OnDemand on Sunday evening {yes, we did watch a lot of movies this weekend!} It was cute, very sad at some parts, but ended happily ever after- which I tend to be a sucker for. I’m not a big fan of Catherine Zeta Jones, but she didn’t really bother me in this. Definitely not adding it to my favorites anytime soon, but if you are a sucker for romantic comedies like me, you will enjoy it.
So, as you can see- we had a pretty great weekend. We mangaged to get a lot done around the housee and still enjoy ourselves- which is my favorite kind of weekend.
Gotta love weekends! The countdown is on-- 3 days until Saturday...
I'll leave you with this shot of Guinness, enjoying his new master bedroom. :)

The master bedroom is looking great!! I've got a question on one of your framed Alicia Block prints - the second one. Did you find a mat like that at a store, or did you cut it yourself? I've got a similar print and I love the way you framed yours, so I'd like to do the same. ;)
I think I'm in love with your dog! Too freaking cute.
AND the bedroom looks absolutely amazing. I love the colors and the prints you chose to hang. Alicia Bock rocks!
Your bedroom looks gorgeous. And sounds like you had a great weekend, I'm jealous.
