we went to see the dear old cubbies yesterday.
oh how i love them.
almost 21 years exactly since i first stepped foot
into good old Wrigley Field.
i try my darndest to make it back there every year.

yesterday was exactly what i needed.
we...

rode on the L train:

and watched a great game:

and ate chili burgers and drank old style lights.
and ate lots of peanuts & cotton candy:

and, errrr, put cotton candy up our nose?

and spied on them in the dugout:

and cheered and cheered and cheered:

and posed in front of the greatest baseball field in history:

and ate ice cream out of little cubs hats:

and walked all around:

and played skiball at sluggers:

i won because i'm the skiball master.

and we rode the L back:

and we went to our favorite pizza place.
and filled our bellies once again.
and made a pitstop here
{because you just have to}.
and we slept all the way home
{sorry, all except dad, because we needed someone to drive!}
thanks dad.

a great, great day.
i love my family.
i love chicago.
and i love the cubs.

oh my favorite thing to do is eat ice cream out of the hats. preferably dip and dots, but not all ball parks have that anymore. these pictures are lovely.
