One of my best friends in the world since we were little pre-schoolers is Jennifer. We have been through so much together and have grown closer and closer.
Here I am with my two maids of honor, Hollie on the left and Jennifer on the right:
She found out that her and her husband were expecting last December! It was very unexpected, but more exciting than any of us could have imagined! Little Brody graced us with his presence on Thursday {being almost 2 weeks overdue!} When Brody was born he wasn't breathing on his own. He was immediately air lifted to a larger, specialty hospital and it has been extremely rough on everyone- especially Jennifer and her husband. He is finally doing better and breathing on his own! YAY!!! We are so happy that things are finally looking up and ready for him to come home!
But let's face it... I needed some serious "fun" time this weekend. Luckily I have great friends to get me there. Friday night we hung out at our place, grilled out, and drank. It was exactly what the doctor ordered. But we didn't stop there. We had an absolute blast on the river all day on Saturday! Nothing a little tubing, swimming, drinking, sun, and jamming out to the Beach Boys can't cure.....
So relaxing....
The boys ready to go tubing:
Stacey driving the boat {girls rock!}:
I love this shot:
The boys {minus Andrew} I think they are getting sick of me taking pictures now:
Either that or it's because Andrew couldn't drive the boat:
Kathy doesn't seem to mind:
The boys and Big Bertha... we knocked their asses off:
Me soaking up some rays:
Now it's time for us girls to give it a shot! I'm glad Brian got my picture on the tube at least for one ride. We're ready:
Probably the most amazing picture EVER:
In case you need a close up to see why:
Looking at the fun we had this weekend makes this Monday a little more bearable. And that I will see me girls in a bit to kick some ass at sand volleyball!
Happy Monday!

Hi! Random blog reader here. Can't even remember how I found your blog (thenest???) but anwyay, I love picnik, thanks to you, but I have a ?
What filter are you using (or which of the options, if that's how you say it) to get that grainy, vintagey look on your pics? Like in the "fun, fun, fun til daddy.." pic or the one of the girl driving the boat?
I can't get my pics to look like that and I LOVE the look.
Thanks!
Carly
