We got some updates on baby Brody today. The doctors believe that he has a condition called myasthenia gravis, which means muscle weakness. This affects muscles such as those that control the eye and eyelid movement, facial expression, chewing, talking, swallowing, breathing and limb movement. Brody shows most of these signs, but myasthenia gravis can be controlled. The doctors have started him on medication that he is responding well to.

This is first I have heard of this condition and I have been googling it ever since. We have high hopes that he will pull though this. He is truly a trooper, just like his parents. But it just seems that nothing in our lives right now matter or are in any way important, besides this little guy.

We are finally going to go up and see them all this weekend. It was so hard for us at first because we didn't want to intrude on their space during the very difficult time when he first arrived and wasn't breathing. It was just extremely hard for me to not be there for Jennifer in person, but I know deep down that it was the right thing to do. But I can't wait to meet the little guy and be there for our friends.

Please keep Brody and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
