Oh what a weekend it has been. We had our second major snowfall and it was well.... it was a blizzard. It was awesome. It was ice. It was freezing rain. It was below zero temps (still is). It was snow snow snow snow snow. I loved it.

On Friday night we went Christmas shopping, then settled into Aaron & Kathy's warm, cozy house to watch the hilarious Christmas on The Office as the rain & snow started to fall.

Saturday: we slept in; got lunch; and then more Christmas shopping (we are really close to done- but what's left is all the hardest); headed home just as the roads were almost undriveable- we almost got hit, twice. We did take a safer approach to enjoying the snowflakes & went for a little walk around the neighborhood. It was magical.

I took my baby with me even though she's broken. Manual focus still works sometimes so I got a few results. (I'll be sending it to Canon after the holidays. Can't wait!)

Then we got ready to head out to our annual ugly sweater Christmas party! Sadly, I don't really have any pics of our ugly sweaters, you'll just have to take my word for it. They were UGLY. Everyone is certain that mine was originally a tree skirt. This is the only gem that I got:

Yes, I look horrific. Oh well. I guess that sums it up quite nicely since I drank entirely too much & have since vowed to myself that I won't do that anymore... not for a long while. (Sorry Kathy, the only pic I got you weren't there yet. Boo.)

Sunday was, you guessed it, horrible. I convinced myself that I must have had the flu because I was just that sick. But I'm sure that events of the previous night had a lot to do with it. Regardless, I spent the day in bed and in the bath. Thank you husband for endlessly taking care of me. Otherwise I'm sure I would have died. Yep, no more heavy drinking for this girl. I am strictly sticking to a few glasses of wine and/or beers. That way I actually enjoy my alcohol consumption, which is afterall, the point.

So I'm spending today cleaning & folding laundry.. making up for my lack thereof yesterday and then spending the afternoon wrapping presents! That, my friends, I am excited for.

12 days to Christmas!

xo.
