Ahhh… Spring. While always glorious, I’m not sure I have ever welcomed a Spring as much as this one. Our winter was long and harsh in the Midwest this year and so we are fully embracing the thaw that we are currently experiencing. One of the kids’ absolute favorite things to do is munch on snacks on the porch swing, so this was a momentous occasion since winter has kept us from it for so long. We rolled out the porch rug and cozied up the space with some new throw pillows. Got all settled in for some fresh air, conversation with neighbors and of course, snacks.

Our latest favorites are Dole’s Snack Bites, which I’ve been keeping stocked in my bag and in my car for on the go. Life is hectic with work, daycare, school, ballet, speech, swim lessons, appointments, etc etc so having these on hand is crucial, but they are also perfect porch swing snacks. Our favorites are the Dark Chocolate Blueberry Almond, Cran-Blueberry Nut Clusters and the Mango Strawberry Almond Rice Sticks. So yummy.

Their full tummies and the fresh air inspired us to make a bucket list for Spring. Here’s what we came up with:
  • Lots of family walks with Louie
  • And visits to the park
  • A trip to the zoo
  • Easter egg hunt
  • Start building our back deck
  • Plant some flowers
  • Go on bike rides
  • Fire up the grill
  • Spring clean the house
  • Make a bird feeder
  • Use sidewalk chalk
  • Open the windows and let the fresh air inside
  • Let each kiddo fill a box full of toys or clothes they are ready to donate
  • Visit the farmer’s market
  • Lots of snacking and sipping on the front porch (of course)

It’s pretty clear that my nesting this pregnancy is also coinciding with Spring cleaning, so things are about to go down over here.

We’d love to hear what’s on your list for Spring

xx Chelsea
