For as slow as January is going the weekends tend to pop up pretty quick. Not that I'm complaining. We will be...

marching on with the house re-organization project {hoping to tackle the bathroom & the spare room}. spending the night cooped up in the house with andrew, stacey, movies, wine, take out & grand conversation. drinking champagne. dancing {i just really feel like dancing lately}. helping aaron & kathy officially move into their new diggs. watching entourage. checking out a few antique stores {searching for a dresser & a little piece to hold records & a record player}. vegging out for the super bowl {read: commercials} complete with loads of food and company. possibly swing into Lowe's to pick up some paint samples. applying said paint samples. And without-question consuming plenty of wine.

Sounds relaxing, eh? I think so.

P.S. Have you seen any neat ideas for setting up/storing a record collection & a record player? These are a couple that I like, but I need some more ideas as I want it in our living room...

So I know I've been throwing a lot of lists at you lately {things I love, things I want, things that inspire me} so I apologize in advance for this post. What can I say? I am feeling very inspired lately. Here's what I've been up to this week....

11. I have been kicking ass and getting lots of stuff done around our house lately. Last night I was nearly passed out at 8:30 because I was so exhuasted! But it's a great feeling to get SO much done!! Last night I finished getting our entire bedroom cleaned & organized {which involved sorting through piles & piles of clothes. I am happy to report that we now have 4 tubs in the basement ready to take to Goodwill, a closet filled with neatly-hanging clothes and a clear floor. If you know me personally, you know that this is quite the feat. I also managed to organize most of our entire basement last night! I was on a roll baby...}

12. My wheels have been spinning this week planning our next project on my list-- finally painting our spare bedroom and maybe acutally hanging art on the walls. I'm not sure why, we have lived in our house for a year and a half, and we have never put any effort into this room. I'm not sure what I was waiting for, but the wait is over my friends. I am currently trying to decide between two paint choices, both are pretty neutral. Here is the first, Valspar's filtered shade:

And the second, Valspar's silver sea:

Here is someone's lovely bedroom painted in filtered shade, unfortuantely I cannot find any with silver sea.

This is a tough choice for me, because I am really feeling the grey and it would be so versatile and stylish, however I have a soft spot in my heart for blue. But on the other hand, we did just paint our bedroom a lovely shade of blue last year.... yet silver sea is a very grey-blue so it wouldn't be painfully obvious.

Oh boy. What do you think??? Would that be too much blue, should we go with the filtered shade? Or are you feeling the calmness of the silver sea? Opinions please and thank you.

13. Also relating to the spare bedroom- is that once the walls are painted, I can finally start working on my photo wall! This is something that I have wanted since forever and already have various frames & prints ready to go! Yay! I've been so inspired by...

14. Okay, and yeah and I think I want to re-paint our kitchen too {I told you I was on a roll}. I have loved the vivid green that we chose since we moved in & painted right away, but I am ready for a change and something light & airy. This picture was all I needed to really convince me...

15. I've become obsessed with 1000 books to read before you die. {23 down, 977 to go.....}

So we're back on this wonderful work week Tuesday {can you sense my enthusiasm?} But we did have a pretty great weekend, so I guess I shouldn't complain. We managed to fit in most all drunken, unpractical plans and skipped on the important, house necessities. Hey, everyone needs a weekend like that once in a while, right?

Friday night assumed it's regular craziness.... Clint and Brie were in town for the weekend so they popped over and we spent the night talking, catching up, wii skiing, oh yeah and of course laughing at the Boy for an hour straight {sorry Andrew!}

On Saturday morning, we both surprisngly felt well the despite the previous night's mix of leftover pad thai and tequila {yes I did!} not to mention beer and vodka- such a good mix. So we ran most of our errands and then preceeded to get ready for the next crazy night- Scooter's surprise birthday celebration. This time we spent the night riding around town, hopping from bar to bar, in none other than a stretch limo. Pretty kick ass, right? We had a blast, but I am still a little upset that I passed out before the homemade pizza and Brian managed to consume three whole peices by himself.

Sunday was spent, you guessed it, recovering. Probably one of the worst hangover's of my life- not something I am proud of. But I spent the entire day in bed or in the bathroom {you get my gist}. I was able to maintain two of my goals for this day though- watching entourage season 2 and doing so in my pajama's, so I had that going for me.

Oh and I also managed to snap this shot of Guinness in his usual stance in front of the heat register. If you never believed me that this is his favorite place, this should convince you.

shopping? me?

I'm not sure if it's the beautiful warm weather {30 above & yes that's warm right now} or the fact that I just got my cell phone rebate via visa card, but I am in major shopping mode today. Not to mention the fact that my rebate visa came in the mail the same day as a 40% off AE coupon. Let's review shall we...

Yes, I really did just nab all of these fabulous pieces. I'm loveloveloving this dress and it has me dying for spring and the strappies just look too perfect next to it, so I had to get those too. I've been searching relentlessly for the perfect textured black vest and this one is it{!}. How about these jeans? I'm really loving them and totally rocking them with the vest and perhaps this graphic tee or maybe a band shirt. Had to have the scarf and the beautiful turquoise rings and because I am so nice I grabbed this shirt for the hubs too- he is going to look so hot in it!

Yay for me! I'm so pumped. I can't even remember the last time I really went shopping, so this is quite the treat. And did I mention 40% off? Yeah, I scored some amazing deals. And I have to also share that one of my favorite etsy sellers is having a great sale right now- armelle. I told myself I could only pick one piece, and this is the one that I ordered...

I can already tell that it is going to be my almost-every-day-necklace.

I really love everything I got and quickly realized that I could seriously spend so much money on clothes, especially this darling little cardi for over the dress.... ugh, so I walked away. I have been very good lately reserving pretty much all of our money for beer & gas & concerts; and since I'm not willing to give up any of those anytime soon- I will learn to be content with today's purchases for a while.

04. I have a terrible memory. It drives me crazy. You know those little surveys that ask random stuff like your 1st grade teacher's name or if you've ever jumped off of a cliff-- yeah, I can hardly ever remember any of that! It really actually pisses me off. It's a wonder how I ever graduated college?
05. I am overly passionate about music; to a fault. Hearing the right song at the right moment can have me bursting at the seams- it just has a tremendous effect on me.
06. I could eat Thai food for every meal for the rest of my life and not be sick of it. {So dead on Leah! I'm addicted.}
07. I like to write everything with Sharpie markers. I have to stop myself from walking into meetings at work- Sharpie in hand.
08. I love to get mail and get nervous if I can't check my mailbox right away after work.
09. Beer is always my drink of choice. Then red wine. Then tequila. Then vodka. :)
10. I fucking love rollercoasters. I'm the one in the front row with my hands in the air and a big goofy grin on my face- just soaking it in.
